CTMH Australasian SE1 Last Chance Hop

Welcome to our latest Blog Hop as we will be getting a new Seasonal Catalogue next month we want to show some great projects made with products from the Seasonal Expressions 1 catalogue. If you arrived here from Maz Wood's Inky Fingers  you are in the right place, if you arrived her by chance no worrie just follow the link at the end of the post to continue the hop. You will still have time to purchase any of the products from the outgoing catalogue before the end of the month.

I have chosen Your Beautiful Self  B1516 as my product to showcase. I love butterflies and this stamp set is so gorgeous. It is so versatile and would be perfect for all sorts of projects.

I have been wanting to have a go using the Watercolours Paints Z3132 and the Watercolour Paper Z3146. So I decided to watercolour one of the butterflies, I was pleasantly surprised that you really can't make any mistakes when watercolour painting. If you add too much colour you can just water it down, if  you have added too much water just use a tissue and blot it up. I still have need lots of practice but I am happy with my first effort. I stamped the script background using an oval cut out, then adhered the painted butterfly with foam tape a little added bling finishes off the card. Even though it appears the backing cardstock is grey I did use white cardstock.

This second card was fun to colour with a variety Shin Han Markers, I love the rounded corners and the pop of yellow paper behind the stamped images.

This last card is a simple one and I really like the Flaxen, Glacier and Pomegranate colour combination.

To continue, hop along to Georgia O'Shea's Georgia Creates to see what great project she has created, she has chosen the Penelope Collection to showcase. Thank you for joining our hop and I hope you are getting lots of ideas. Please leave a comment, we all appreciate you taking time to leave a comment.

I enjoyed creating with with this set, I love the colours and have made two cards with a nautical theme, they were fun and simple to make.

I look forward to using the Regatta pack to do my photos from my trip to the Bahamas last year but I wanted to show that these papers can also be used for other types of layouts as well. These photos are from my 60th birthday. I have used the Glacier and Flaxen papers and Glacier and Pomegranate inks. The stamp set I used is Shower Flowers C1612 I fussy cut the flowers and leaves, then adhered them with the foam tape.

CTMH "Charlotte" Workshop Layouts

Last month's scrapbooking workshop I showcased the Charlotte papers, stamps and compliments. I love the colours in this pack and at first glance you would be inclined to think you could only use these papers with feminine type photos. I found they worked rally well with my photos from our visit to the museum to see the Dinosaur Exhibition.

These layouts are single page layouts but look good next to each other. I stamped the flours and then fussy cut them, adding them in cluster makes a lovely feature.

I hope you get the opportunity to be crafty this weekend, that's what I plan to do myself. All of these products can be purchased from my online shop. Charlotte Workshop Your Way G1104 $41.00

                                                Charlotte Paper Pack X7205S $15.00

Sprintime Wishes Stamp Set C1641 $21.00

                                               Charlotte Compliments X7205C $10.50

April Stamp of the Month Blog Hop

Welcome to the April Stamp of the Month Blog Hop. If you arrive here from Tanya Armitage's Happy Papercrafting you are in the right place, if you arrived by chance no worries, just continue the hop by click the link at the end of this post.

April's stamp of the Month is Life in Pictures S1604, what a fun stamp this is.

My first layout uses the Penelope Workshop Your Way Pack , I love the bright colours of this pack. They were great with my photos of our visit to the Perth Royal Show. I added some of the stamped cameras using Crystal Blue, Pear, Thistle and Pixie ink and the Happy Smiles title. I used the Artbooking Cricut cartridge to cut the title "Capture the Details"

I wanted my second layout to have a vintage look, so I printed the photo in sepia. I used some of the papers from the Urban Paper Pack X7204B, I really like how the vintage camera compliments this layout. I stamped the cameras using Saddle and Cashmere ink, then fussy cut them using out great Non stick Micro tip Scissors Z1836.   I used Colonial White cardstock for this layout.

My final project is a very simple card, I used the frame stamp and stamped it on Honey cardstock using Honey ink. I then fussy cut it. I love the current Operation Smile stamp set D1679 "Animal Greeting" and used the very cute whale stamp and coloured it with the Shin Han markers. I cut the background frame using the Artiste Cricut cartridge( Accent 4 key 3 the second image using shift key)  to finhish off the card I added 2 Aqua Dots Z1853.

I hope you are enjoying the hop, to continue click here to go to Vandra's Virtual CTMH Craftroom to see her wonderful creation. Please leave a comment, it's the only way we know anyone has actually seen our projects.
