May Stamp of the Month Blog Hop "Celebrate with Cake"

Welcome to the May Stamp of the Month Blog Hop, wow this is a really cute stamp. "Celebrate with Cake"  S1605,  it's perfect for any celebration.  If you have arrived here from Vandra's Blog you are in the right place, if you arrived her by chance no worries just continue by clicking on the link at the end of this post.

Look at these great images, how sweet are they? Working with these would make anyone happy.

I saw a sketch of a wedding cake with gold accents and want to replicate it in a card, and here is my finished card. I stamped the images in black ink and used the Gold Metallic Marker Z1768  to colour parts of the images. I stamped the roses and Hearts with Versa Mark Ink then embossed with Gold Embossing Powder.  The hearts and the roses were then fussy cut and adhered with foam tape. The heart stamp is from the Cutie Pie set which was the Stamp of the Month for December 0414 but I am sure any small heart stamp will be fine to use. I double stamped the heart then gold embossed it.

For this card I first coloured the Daisy White cardstock with Pixie and Canary ink using a great new product which is being released this month, the Water Brush Pen. It comes in either a round or flat tip. I coloured the overlay using Lagoon ink. The overlay is cut from the Artbooking Cartridge found on page 41 and is cut at 4". The cake image was to large for my cake stand so I stamped the image, decided what size I wanted the cake to be then drew a line with the black marker along the edge and fussy cut it out. I coloured the cake and the banner with the Shin Han markers, which I also used to coloured the Bitty Sparkles.  Did you notice I used the same image on this card as the image for the second layer of the other cake but I turned it upside down on this card?
