The Little Dreamer Workshop Your Way (G1126) and Papers (X7219B) are so cute, the unicorn is so on trend at the moment. I have seen numerous unicorn decorative items in the shops recently. The papers and the embellishments are beautiful.
We are a family of readers, from the eldest to the youngest and so I made this bookmark for one of the younger members of the family. I was surprised at how quickly this idea came together, I put a little ink on the All Purpose Mat Z2045 then spritzed a little water using the Spray Pen Z1380 onto the ink then smooshed the white cardstock on to the mat. I used Thistle, Glacier, and Hollyhock Inks. The verse was stamped directly on the bookmark, but the unicorn clouds and stars were stamped on white cardstock and then added to the bookmark using 3D Foam Tape Z1151. I cut a length of Thistle and Glacier Thick Twine and added it to the Bookmark. To finish it off I added a few of the gems that come with the kit.
This layout was a labour of love, my mother has sewn from a young age and as she has gotten older quilting has become her choice of what to sew. It is easier than dressmaking and since she has started quilting she has made a quilt for each of her 18 great grandchildren. You can click on the photo and see a larger photo of this layout so you can appreciate these beautiful quilts.
Thank you for stopping by and I hope you are enjoying this hop and getting lots of great ideas. To continue the hop click here to go to Vandra's blog. I am sure she has something terrific to share. Your comments are always appreciated.

The Live Beautifully papers and stamp set are only available for this month and is just gorgeous. I love all of the papers, the florals are so pretty and the others are so versatile, they will allow you to create lots of fabulous projects.

I wanted to create a layout that showcased the softer colours of this pack and I found this sketch which I thought would work really well. While on holiday in Tasmania last year we spent a wonderful day at "Tasmazia" which is not far from Launceston. There is so much to see and do there. The flowers and sentiments are left over from previous Workshop Your Way kits. I love how Close To My Heart carry over the same colours to new kits, which allows you to use the decorative elements with any number of paper collections. I added gems to the centers of the flowers and a few little butterflies to finish off the layout.
My second project is a simple and easy card, I used the leaves stamps to create the focal image. I stamped the leaves in Pomegranate Ink Z2854 and the Happy Birthday in Cashmere Ink Z2875. I used the Black Dot paper and the Gold Dot Zip Strip and small piece of the Gold Stripe Vellum from the All About Gold Fundamental paper pack Z3246. A gold puffy from a previous Workshop Your Way compliments pack decorated the center of the image, and small glitter gem adds a little bling to sentiment. All items used in my projects can be purchased from my website http://doristaylor.closetomyheart.com.au

CTMH May Stamp of the Month Blog Hop
Welcome to the CTMH May Stamp of the Month Blog Hop, if you arrived here from Nell Ward's blog you are in the right place if you arrived here by chance just follow the link at the end of the post to continue the hop.
May's stamp "Live, Laugh, Love" S1705 is so pretty and is a wonderful addition to my collection. I had such fun creating with this stamp set.
Home decor items was the first thing that came to mind when I sat at my craft table and stated thinking about what I would make with these stamps. I've had this small canvas for quite awhile and thought it would be perfect for this project. The canvas is 7" x 91/2", and I painted it a pale blue. I then stamped the Live, Laugh, and Love images on White cardstock using Black ink. I then coloured them with the Shin Han Markers and fussy cut with the Non Stick Micro Tip Scissors Z1836. These scissors are my favourite and are perfect for fussy cutting. To decorate the canvas I then stamped the flowers and leaves, I added gems and sequins to make the flowers pop. I adhered the flowers and leaves with 3D Foam Tape Z1151. The black gem flourishes are no longer available but they added just the look I wanted to finish this canvas. I love that our Acrylix stamps can be manipulated when place on the blocks, I curved the stem of the center flower before I stamped the image.
This wreath project was a lot of fun to complete, the flowers and leaves were cut using the Cricut Cartridges. The pink flowers can be found on page 30, the purple flowers on page 29, (Flower 1 using the shift key) and the leaves on page 27 all are from the Flower Market cartridge. The white flowers are from the Artiste cartridge, found on page 54 Accent 3 shift key. The centers of the white flowers are pale pink flowers that I have had in my stash for years but they were perfect for these flowers. I inked the edges of these flowers using Pixie Ink Z2844 I just wanted a hint of pink. I stamped the LOVE in Cashmere ink Z2875 and then coloured it with the Shin Han Markers. It really doesn't take long to colour these images. I fussy cut the Love image and adhered to a 1" strip of wood grain paper from the Rustic Home Fundamentals Paper Pack Z3262, I then added this to a strip of black cardstock. To finish off I added a Blush Shimmer Ribbon bow.
Here are close ups of the flowers and LOVE image
