Chelsea Gardens Blog Hop

Welcome to the Chelsea Garden blog hop if you arrived here from  Wendy Hopper's Blog, you are in the right place, if you arrived here by chance I am glad you stopped by and I hope my projects gives you some inspiration. To continue the hop click on the link at the end of this post.

These beautiful papers and compliments are stunning, just wonderful for garden, girly or even masculine projects. The Chelsea Gardens Cardmaking  stamp and die cut set are also gorgeous and will compliment any project.

When working on my layouts I love using the CTMH How To  Books, there are three specifically for scrapbooking and the newest addition is for card making. You can find these books here and they really do make creating beautiful layouts and cards so much easier and quicker

I love how each pack of CTMH papers allows so many options, at first glance the Chelsea papers  immediately make you think of pretty projects and that is what I have created with this layout. The delicate butterflies and flowers are exquisite and worked beautifully with these photos. I have used Jupiter, Sweet Leaf and Glacier Inks. I curled the edges of the flowers with a bone folder and added a few gems and when you adhered them with the 3D Foam Tape it gives them a bit of dimension. Bending the butterflies in the middle before you add them to the page also does the same thing. I used pattern 13 in the Make It From The Heart Vol. 3 Ideas Book for this layout. I have only used the right side as a single page layout.

For this layout I used pattern 16 from the same How To Book, one of the great things about using these sketches is for each layout you have 4 options just by rotating the sketch in each direction. Again I have only used the left page of this layout as I only had 2 photos of this event. This is usually a rare occurrence for me, I normally have heaps of photos and needing to cull them is usually a problem. I have rotated the sketch so I have the strip of pattern paper on the top instead of the bottom. To decorate the layout I have used some of the elements in the Compliments pack and I've used the great Alphabet dies for the Happy Birthday title.

The new Gift Card Box Thin Cut die (Z4150) is a dream to use and you can decorate it any way you desire, I have used the beautiful bold flower paper to decorate the top of the box and complimentary papers for the sides. You can stamp the box with a background stamp before you cut it out for a different look, adding a ribbon would be lovely. The lovely butterfly stamp and a sentiment is just what is needed to enhance the box. This new die allows you to quickly and easily cut a 3.5" x 2.75" x .75" folded box. There is the option to add a window or a tag to the box. As the name implies the box fits a gift card perfectly or maybe some tea lights or a few chocolates.

January Stamp of the Month

Happy New Year and welcome to the January Stamp of the Month Blog Hop. If you arrived here from Nell's blog you are in the right place, if you arrived here by chance I hope you like what you see. To continue the hop click on the link at the end of this post.

The January stamp of the month Bloom and Grow S1801 is absolutely gorgeous, I love all of the sentiments. You can buy this stamp set for $27.00 or for only $7.50 with a purchase of $75.00 during the moth of January. I hope my projects gives you lots of ideas to produce your own special creations.

My main passion is scrapbooking but I also love card making and other paper crafts. This layout was a labour of love, my niece has longed for a baby for many years and finally in 2015 she had a beautiful baby girl. I was fortunate enough to visit her in the Bahamas shortly after Mia was born and was one of the first few people to meet her. Pattern 22 from the Make It From Your Heart Volume 3  was the inspiration for this layout. I used papers from the Adventure Paper pack Z3351 and it complimented these photos perfectly. The flowers were cut using the Flower Market Cricut cartridge Z3285, and I used the Artiste cartridge for the frame for the "Let Love Grow" sentiment. I was really please with the look of the stamped heart, the small leaves looked beautiful around the Bloom Where You Are Planted sentiment.

I had such fun creating this bag, I had the intention of making a pretty girlie bag but at the last minute decided to work out of my comfort zone and make this steampunk themed bag. The "Grow Your Own Magic" sentiment worked great. These bags are cheap to buy from the $2.00 shop and this allows you to personalize them however you like. The gears and the wing was cut using the Artiste Cricut cartridge, the stamps are from a Halloween set that unfortunately is no longer available. The buttons are also from my stash of discontinued products. CTMH are always bringing out beautiful new products, but I always have a few items left over from past collections and you never know when they will come in handy.

This card is called a Z fold card, I used one of the cards from the Value Pack X254 this pack is so economical you get 50 cards and envelopes for just $23.00. You fold the front of the card in half from right to left then add what ever shape front panel you desire as decoration, a heart or circle would look great as well. The card uses papers from the Enchanted Fundamental Paper pack,Z3352  and I used Pomegranate  and Olive Inks for the stamping. Place a piece of white cardstock on the inside to add a greeting. Adding a few gems really finishes off the card.

Are you ready for a new year of fabulous ideas and products? The new Seasonal Expressions catalogue is filled with beautiful crafting goodies and is available for purchase from today. You can check out the catalogue on my website.
