Documented Blog Hop

Welcome to our Australasian Blog Hop, if you arrived here from Doreen's blog you are in the right place if you arrived here by chance I hope you see something you like.

Today we are showcasing the Documented Collection, as always the scrapbooking kit contains everything you need to create beautiful layouts, cards and any number of different projects. Even though one of the papers has beautiful flowers the others are perfect for more masculine themes. The compliment pack adds a little special creativity to your projects, I love the craft cardstock items in this collection they are so lovely. Remember to download the workshop guide when you purchase this and all kits.

This first card was so easy to make it uses one of the flower pocket cards which I have fussy cut out. The added gems, a sentiment, the ribbon and the sweet little bow finish off the card. If you are short of time and don't want to do a lot of stamping the pocket cards makes it really quick and easy. Unfortunately it's not visible in this photo but I have sponged the edges of the sentiment with Bashful ink and it really does look so pretty.

The colours of these papers really work well with outdoor photos, the two words from the compliments made a great title for my page. It is so important to write the story of your photos and the pocket journal cards are perfect. I really like that there are different sized cards, allowing you to choose how much or how little you want to tell of the story.

This is another easy card the to make, the multi coloured floral paper background compliments the washi tape strips well. The great thing about Close To My Heart is the basic colours remain the same with all the different kits, these narrow washi tapes even though they are now discontinued they still match the colours of the Documented collection. Once the washi tape was added I then embossed the white cardstock to give it added dimension. I stamped the butterflies with Peacock and Eggplant ink and then added the gems.

The new Holiday Expressions catalogue will be released on September 1st and that means that some of the products in the current Seasonal Expressions 2 and the Annual Expressions catalogues will no longer be available. So make sure you check out my website to see if there is anything you want from these catalogues before September 1st.

August Stamp of the Month "For The Love Of Crafting"

Welcome to our August Stamp of The Month blog hop if you arrived here from  Wendy's blog  you are in the right place. If you arrived here by chance just click on the link at the end of this post to continue the hop.

This stamp set is great, just perfect for cards and scrapbooking layouts, these sentiments are such fun.

This layout I have created showcases some beautiful sculptures that were on display at the recent Melbourne Flower Show and some of my and my family's crafty creations. My mother and my sisters all learned to sew at a young age and have been quilting for a number of years. Before I was introduced to scrapbooking I used to love to cross stitch. I used pattern 9 in the Volume two Make It From Your Heart Idea Book as inspiration for this layout.
