Boutique Blog Hop

Welcome to our Boutique Blog Hop, if you arrived here from Shaunna's blog you are in the right place. If you arrived here by chance it's always nice to see you, you can continue the hop by clicking on the link at the end of this post.

The Boutique collection is so pretty but it is not limited to feminine creations. There are beautiful girlie colours like pink and yellow and a wonderful rose pattern paper that is to die for, but there are other great coloured and patterned papers. The compliments pack has a wonderful collection of embellishments that will look so great on your projects.

I wanted to show that this collection could be used for a masculine project even though the majority of the papers are predominately feminine. I used the dark grey for the background paper then white and the lovely peacock words paper. The basic design of this card could be replicated with any papers and stamp sets. I used a seashells stamp set, a stitched circle and a plain circle thin cuts and some Glacier twine and gems. I designed the card for a male but it can easily be given to a woman. I always have heaps of feminine cards but not that many male cards.

The multi coloured  paper with the yellow paper worked well with the photos of our Easter Egg Hunt from a few years ago. The Easter Egg Hunt and flower border stamps are from the great 12 months stamp collection from last year. I received them as a Christmas gift from my lovely niece. It's amazing to see how much the kids grow each year, look at those lovely little faces. I had to add a third page because there are so many kids.

I love flowers, real ones, fake ones and stamped ones, this bright happy card was a delight to create. It's funny how you have a colour combination in your mind before you start a project and then it just doesn't look right. This is the third combination of colours I tried for the flowers before deciding on this one. I used grey cardstock for the background, then the light grey paper and finally the yellow and peach papers for added colour. I sponged the edges of the light grey paper for contrast.

Thanks for stopping by I hope you will be inspired with all the great projects you see on this hop. To continue the hop click here to got Vandra's blog she will have something great to share. Please take a moment and leave a comment, we all appreciate them.

September Stamp of the Month "Just Treats"

Welcome to our September Stamp of the Month blog hop, if you arrived here from Vandra's blog  you are in the right place if you arrived here by chance click on the link at the end of this post to go to the next blog.

This stamp set has some great sentiments for upcoming holidays, but of course they can be tweaked to be used for other things. The Americans celebrate Thanksgiving Day and Halloween in a big way  but we in Australia don't but that doesn't mean we can't find another use for these lovely sentiments.

Friends bring such joy to our lives and having the opportunity to record these friendships in photos and journalling are very important to me. I have known these two lovely ladies for some years now and really enjoy spending time with them  When we get together we solve the world's problems and have solutions for all that ails mankind. We try to get together at least a couple times a year for a weekend of scrapbooking, eating goodies and catching up. It was quite funny that we each wore a black and white shirt this day.

This sentiment was perfect for this layout, the flower stamp is a sweet compliment to the papers that I used. I stamped off before stamping the two flowers that are lighter in colour, I tried to replicate the look of the flowers in the paper.

Father's day is this Sunday so I thought I would make a little box to hold some treats. I used what is supposed to be a Halloween stamp but by adding the "for someone special" it can work for Father's Day or any other event. This is a standard 4"x4" lidded box, you can find instructions on Youtube or Pinterest. The box will hold 8 Ferrero Roche chocolates or many other different small treats. The red Burlap ribbon adds just a little something special to the lid.

Thank you for stopping by, I hope you've seen something you like. If you have please take a moment and leave a comment they are always appreciated. To continue the hop click here to go to Lauren Moore's blog, she will have something wonderful to share.
