Specials Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the CTMH Australasian Specials blog hop, if you arrived here from Lynda at the Scrapbooking Photographer  you are in the right place. If you arrived by chance, click on the link at the end of this post to go to the next blog.

We had the choice of the two current specials "Memory Lane" or "A Gnome For All Seasons" I decided on the Memory Lane collection for my projects. They are both gorgeous and will be a favourite with everyone.

The Memory Lane paper and sticker pack contains 12 sheets, 2 each of 6 double sided designs and one sticker sheet with lots of lovely images and sentiments. The colours are all yummy and will go beautifully with just about any project.

Back in the 1980's my parents established a thriving avocado orchard from a 40 acre vacant block, they lived there for nearly twenty years but when it became too much for just them two to manage they decided to sell. They did not want to move back to the suburbs of Perth so they decided to buy a residential block in rural Muchea that's just an hour out of Perth. These are photos of their home it was  a lovely spot with large trees and wild flowers on the block.

I have used both sides of beautiful yellow paper and the sage green as a background for my photos. I have also used several stamps from my stash as decorations for my page.

When we first moved to Australia in the early 70's we rented for a number of months until our home was built. This is the house we lived in at that time. It was during winter and this house was so cold, there was a small fireplace in the lounge but it did not heat the house. Coming from the Bahamas we were not accustomed to the cold weather. Even though there was a garage at the back of the house, as you can see my dad and brother both parked on the front lawn.

Don't you just love this paper with the houses and trees! Once again I've used stamps from my stash and the lovely little journal box from the sticker sheet.

Thank you for stopping by, I hope you found some inspiration in my projects. To see more ideas hop along to Danielle at Scrappy Chicks I am sure she has something wonderful to share.

Happy crafting!

Cozy Up Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the CTMH Australasian Cosy Up blog hop, if you arrived here from Lauren's CTMH Craftings you are in the right place. If you arrived by chance this is a circular hop so click on the link at the end of this post to go to the next blog. When you are back to me you have finished.

We are showcasing the Cosy Up collection, this is a autumn theme with lotos yellows, orange, red and brown shades of paper. The July - August Mix in paper pack go very well with the Cosy Up papers and I have used some of them in my pages.

The papers worked very well for my page showing the growth of my mangos from tiny fruit to when they were ready for picking.

I have used the leaves pattern paper and then added a border of scarlet paper to the top and bottom. The stamped images of the fruit are a discontinued stamp and are supposed to be peaches but I think I did a pretty good job of turning them into mangos.

The die cut butterflies are from the Butterfly Layers Thin Cuts Z4653 and the letters for my title were cut using the Simple Serif alphabet dies Z3760

My niece's daughter spent some time with me during the last school holidays, we went for a short walk along the river. the sage printed paper from the Mix In collection with the paprika from the Cozy pack complimented my photos perfectly. I used random leaf dies and flower stamps to decorate my page.

Thank you for stopping by, I hope you have found some inspiration from my pages. To see more ideas hop along to Danielle at Scrappychicks  I am sure she has something wonderful to share.
