I have created the a Christmas Shadow Box, I used the papers, cricut images and stamps. The frame is  9" x 9" the smaller squares are 2" and these are matted on 2 1/4" squares. JOY was cut using the Artfully Sent cartridge at 2". I have used various Christmas images from different cartridges and some stamped images.

December Stamp of the Month Blog Hop "Thoughtful Flowers"

Welcome to the Stamp of the Month Blog Hop, if you have arrived here from Lauren Moore you are in the right place. If you arrived here by chance I hope you enjoy the hop and click on the link at the end of this post to go to the next blog.

This is such a versatile stamp set, the flowers and sentiments can be used for so many different projects. I have created two different projects to share with you. This first one is a Christmas gift bag, these bags are cheap to buy in places like the Reject Shop. The stamp I used is a great poinsettia, I stamped three of them using black ink then coloured them with the Shin Han markers, I added strips of paper from the City Sidewalks Paper Pack and a Christmas greeting.

This projects using five of the different flowers plus some of the sentiments. You can watch a video here with instructions to make this box. I used the Hook and Loop Dots Z1805 to seal the box.

There are four cards and envelopes in the box. I used some of the cards from the September National Stamping Month "Create Kindness Kit. After stamping the flowers I coloured them with the Shin Han Markers and then fussy cut them. To decorate I used  the Bitty Sparkles and Enamel Gems.

City Sidewalks Blog Hop

Welcome to the CTMH City Sidewalks Blog Hop if you arrived here from Maz's blog  you are in the right place. If you arrived here by chance no worries just click on the link at the end of this post to continue the hop.

Wow, this is a terrific collection, I love the papers and compliments!

I had a lot of fun working with kit and have created two projects for this hop, a card and a layout. I sometimes have difficulty working with papers that have a very busy pattern but I have found if you use smaller pieces of the busy paper it is all that you need. I have used the new Flip Flaps Z3245 with this layout, the first photo shows without the flip flap, the second with the flip flap and the third photo shows how it looks in my album.

This card was so easy to make, I used the Zip Strips from the papers to make the wreath. I cut the strips into 3" pieces which I folded in half and dove tailed the end. I cut a 11/2" circle frame and then placed the strips onto the circle frame. I used 18 pieces of paper for the wreath, then added a flower cut from the new Flower Market Cricut cartridge found on page 49 cut at 11/2". I then added one of the silver snowflakes from the Compliments. I dovetailed the ends of the sentiment to match the wreath.

November Stamp of the Month Blog Hop

Welcome to the November Stamp of the Month Blog Hop if you arrived here from Shaunna's blog  you are in the right place. If you arrived her by chance no worries just click on the link at the end of this post to continue the hop.

I am happy to be back joining in the blog hops, I have been busy with relatives visiting from overseas so have unfortunately been neglecting my blog. The November stamp of the month is New Year's Cheer S161, a fun stamp for your party invitations and layouts or as the name describes New year's celebrations.

I have created a layout of my nieces' birthday party which we celebrated just 4 days after her arrival from the Bahamas. It was easy to choose different elements from the stamp set to decorate the layout. I have also used some of the new Thin Cuts, which I love.

I have used the Gift Thin Cuts Z4005 and the Hearts Thin Cuts Z3260, these make adding great decorative elements so easy.

I hope you are enjoying the hop to continue click here to see Vandra"s blog  what  has created. I am sure she has something great to share. Please take a moment to leave a comment we all appreciate your comments.

Florence Blog Hop

Welcome to the Florence Collection Blog Hop if you arrived here from  Denise's Scrap, Stamp and Share you are in the right place. If you arrived her by chance no worries just click on the link at the end of this post to continue the hop.

The Florence Collection is fabulous, the papers are beautiful, and the compliments kit contains 2 6x6 sticker sheets, assorted diecuts, sequins and the Copper Foil Tape.

G1107

I really enjoyed working with this collection, I really like how easy these two layouts came together, I used the Flip Flaps in the first layout and they are great, allowing you to add lots of photos to your page without making the page look cluttered.

This card folds flat for posting but can also stand for display, it's called a Z fold card it's a standard 4 1/4" x 5 1/2".  You can find instructions here to make this card, my card opens from the bottom rather than the side. Adding the flower at the top of the card allows you to stand it up  for display yet it folds flat for posting. I stamped the image on Colonial White cardstock and then a second time so I could colour the flowers with the Shin Han Markers. After colouring the flowers I  used the new Shimmer Brush Z3293 , it add a lovely shine to the inked images. Then I fussy cut the flowers and added them the card adhering them with foam Tape.

August Stamp of the Month Blog Hop

Welcome to the August Stamp of the Month Blog Hop, if have you arrived from Shaunna's Passionate About Pages you are in the right place, if you arrived by chance I hope you enjoy this hop. August's SOTM is "The Purr - fect Halloween" stamp set S1608 and it is is fabulous.

Don't be put off by the title for this stamp set, it can be used for many different themes not just Halloween. I have used this set to make a card and a layout that are nothing to do with Halloween.

I love visiting Pinterest I get so many great ideas there, I used a card idea I found there as inspiration for this lovely card. Don't these cats look so cute, I especially love that this stamp set has four different eye stamps for the cat. I really like the witches hat and the clown's hat as well and I can see myself using them for lots of different projects.

For this card I have stamped two of the cats but I have used different eyes for the male and female cats. The frame is from the Artbooking Cricut Cartridge found on page 42, the paper behind the frame is from the Penelope Papers, I am sad that these papers are no longer available. I have added a black bow tie for the male and some Bitty Sparkles to the female cat. I coloured the centre sparkle pink with a Shin Han Marker to blend with the card background. To finish the card I added the sentiment, two little flowers and a ribbon and bow.

I have used the Florence Workshop Your Way X7208B for this layout. This photo is my sister and her daughter and I really love this photo of them. When I first saw it, the thing that struck me was how lovely their eyes looked, I thought they looked like "smiling eyes".

I found these quotes online and felt they were perfect for this layout. I very rarely do a layout with just one photos but I felt this particular photo deserved a special layout.

Welcome to the Last Chance Blog Hop, if have you arrived from Shaunna's Passionate About Pages you are in the right place. This hop is showcasing products that will no longer be available for purchase when the new Annual Inspirations Catalogue is released August 1st.

I have chosen two of my favourite stamp sets for this hop, Someone Special C1607 and Treasured Friendship C1594  I have used both of these stamp sets lots and I hope you like what I have done with them for this hop.

For my first card I used the Someone Special stamp, it was my sister's birthday this month and I made this card for her. She  really is someone special in my life. I cut the overlay from the Artbooking cartridge found on page 67, cut at 5 1/2" (the card is a 6x6" card) I used Poppy and Pear ink for the flowers and leaves. The Happy Birthday stamp is from the Holiday Tags Set D 1560, the circle is cut at 13/4".  The white square is 3" and the Poppy square is 3 1/4"

This second card was designed as a masculine card but could be used for anyone. I used Pacifica ink and the background paper is from the Adventure Fundamental Assortments Pack and will also be discontinued after July 31st. the Make a Wish stamp is only $5.00 M1051

For this hop I have two layouts and a card to share and I had such fun doing these projects. This first layout is a simple one and uses just a few strips of the papers and some of the embellishments. I have also used the stamped lines stamp from the July Stamp of the Month for my journaling.

For the second layout I have used different papers and embellishments, I love how allof the CTMH papers and embellishments compliment the photos and make scrapbooking so easy.

I love the bight yellow and red papers used for this card.

This stamp has 24 different images, the images with the red line around them means that you can cut the corresponding shape with one of the CTMH Cricut cartridges. There are so many cute little images in this set and I am sure I will come up with lots of ideas to use them.

My layout uses the Magical Paper Pack X7209B and Cranberry and Black Ink. For inspiration I used the sketch on page 34 of the Cherish Idea Book 9038. The title was cut using the Artfully Sent Cricut cartridge.

CTMH Thin Cuts Blog Hop

Welcome to the Close To My Heart Thin Cuts Blog Hop, if you arrived here from Creating with Kara Davies  you are in the right place. If you arrived here by chance I hope you see something you like and just click on the link at the end of this post to continue the hop.

The Thin Cuts are great products that eliminate the need to fussy cut certain stamped shapes. I have chosen the My Anchor Bundle CC1139 which is one of the many products in the  Flash Sale for this week. The bundle includes the Thin Cuts as well as the stamps, and you can buy this set for just $36.00 the regular price is $45.00 what a great saving.

This layout uses photos from my holiday to the Bahamas last year to visit family and friends. The Regatta Paper Pack and Accessories, look great with these photos but unfortunately they are now discontinued. I need to give credit to Karen Pedersen as I used her layout as inspiration. I love how easy it is to use the Thin Cuts and the finished image looks so great. Check out the Seasonal Expressions 2 catalogue to see the terrific new Thin Cuts that are available for purchase

I really like the look of this card, it was super quick and easy to make. The flowers use the larger stamped heart and the centre of the flowers is the sun image. The stem of the flowers are cut freehand. The butterfly is made with the smaller heart, three of the Bitty Sparkles which I coloured with a Shin Han Marker creates the body of the butterfly.  I used Sapphire, Canary and Pixie Ink.
