Serenity Blog Hop

Welcome to the CTMH Australasian blog hop today we are showcasing the beautiful Serenity collection, if you arrived here from Doreen's blog you are in the right place. If you arrived here by chance you can continue the hop by clicking on the link at the end of this post.

The lovely colours of this collection brings joy to my heart, I love them. These papers will look beautiful on any project.

I am still working on photos from back in the 70's that were scanned from my dad's slides, this layout uses photos from when my sister and her husband visited from the Bahamas and mum and dad took them down south.

I am a real fan of butterflies and would love to see them in my garden but sadly I never see them now days. So the next best thing is the stamped variety, and I have created this pretty card for someone special.

This last layout also uses old photos and they look great with this paper and the zip strip adds a lovely contrast. I fussy cut some of the flowers from one of the paper to add some decoration to the layout.

Thank you for stopping by, to continue the hop go along to Lauren Moore's blog and see what she has created, I am sure it will be something special.

December Stamp of the Month "Happiness Never Grows Old"

Welcome to the Australasian CTMH blog hop, if you arrived here from Shaunna's Passionate About Pages you are in the right place. If you arrived here by chance I hope you get some inspiration to use this lovely stamp set.

This is a lovely floral stamp and I am sure it will be used over and over again. The floral sprays are devine and the font used for the sentiments are so pretty.

This first card use just two colour, sapphire and white and I am very happy with how it turned out. I  used sapphire cardstock then this lovely paper from a past collection. The white stitched frame and then the roses and leaves stamped in sapphire ink which completes the card.

I so love it when my niece sends me photos of herself and her daughter, these are just some random photos that she sent to me. This is a simple but really pretty layout and uses just small strips of paper. I thought this sentiment was perfect for this layout.

Inspiration for my final card  came from Connie at Constantly Stamping I loved how special it looks. I have used the single flower and leaves, then just outlined the stamped flowers with the grey and lavender tri blend markers. For a little dimension I added thin strips of white cardstock behind the flowers.

Thank you for stopping by I hope you like what I have created, to continue the hop go to Lauren Moore's blog and see what wonder project she has to share.

November Stamp of the Month Blog Hop "You Warm My Heart"

Welcome to the November stamp of the month blog hop if you arrived here from Shaunna's Passionate About Pages you are in the right place. If you arrived here by chance, you will be able to continue the hop by clicking on the link at the end of this post.

When I first saw this stamp set my first thought was "what can I make with this set", but after a little while some ideas did come to me. Of course it's supposed to be a winter themed stamp set but thankfully a few other ideas popped into my head.

This card has nothing to do with the winter theme, even though this flower stamp is supposed to be a poinsettia but when coloured blue it no longer looks like a poinsettia! Pretty pink and blue colours are always a great combination. I like to have a card in my stash that I can send to someone to brighten their day and let them know "you got this" and tomorrow is always a new day.

I love cooking and baking with the kids when they come for a visit, we baked this yummy cake and added a cream cheese frosting. For this layout I used Make It From Your Heart Vol 5 pattern 9. I used the piece of pie stamp but after stamping the image I fussy cut off the pastry so now it looks like a piece of our yummy cake. Don't you just love how versatile our stamps are.

This is a fun holiday card, who doesn't like a steaming hot cup of cocoa with marshmallows. I used Make It From Your Heart Vol 2 pattern 20 as inspiration for this card. The Make it From Your Heart ideas books are really the best and the later addition of Love Of Colour Volumes 1 and 2 are even better.

Comfort and Joy Blog Hop

Welcome to the Australasian CTMH blog hop, if you arrived here from Kimberley's blog  you are in the right place. If you arrived here by chance click on the link at the end of this post to see more greatr ideas using this collection.

This lovely Christmas collection has the traditional colours and icons, but some of the patterned papers can be used for other themes than Christmas.

This layout uses some of the lovely papers and stickers, a simple but quite nice layout. It's always a lot of fun when the kids come and we check out the Christmas lights in the neighbourhood. I love that so may people take the time and effort to decorate their houses and yards so beautifully.

I really like this Christmas tree stamp, it's so pretty but used with the black and red plaid paper gives it a masculine look.

Thank you for stopping by hop along to Shaunna's blog for more great ideas, I'm sure she will have something wonderful to share.

October Stamp of the Month "With All My Love"

Hello and welcome to our CTMH Australasian stamp of the month blog hop, if you arrived here Doreen's blog  from you are in the right place. If you arrived here by chance you can continue the hop by clicking on the link at the end of this post. The hop goes around in a circle and when you get back to me you have finished.

This wonderful stamp has great images and lovely sentiments, the large heart created with different floral images is so beautiful.

I was crafting with a few friends on the weekend when I made this card and it turned out beautifully but was a little time consuming. The embossing folder was a gift from a friend, the flowers from this stamp set fitted perfectly over the larger embossed flowers. I coloured the smaller flowers and leaves with our Spectrum Noir markers and I am very happy with the look. We all have crafting mishaps from time to time (or is it just me) I managed to get a small smudge of black ink on my card and was so upset because I didn't want to have to make the card over, my friend Colleen suggested placing a butterfly over the spot where the ink was and thankfully it covered it perfectly. So the moral of the story is some mistakes are only another oppotunity to be more creative.

I love seeing photos of multiple gerations in one family, this layout shows my lovely niece, her amazing two daughters, my niece's mother and her grandmother, all special people. I chose the gorgeous papers from the Bloom with Grace pack which looked great with my photos.

I really don't heat emboss as often as I should, beacause it really is a wonderful look. I used white embossing powder and stamped the larger of the flowers on the stitched medium square Thin Cut in toffee cardstock. The paper is from a Mix In Pack

Party Time Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to our CTMH Party Time blog hop, if you have arrived here from Doreen's blog  you are in the right place. If you arrived here by chance I hope you see something you like. You can continue the hop by clicking on the link at the end of this post.

This collection has a wonderful selection of party papers, with balloon, candle and streamer images and then even more with the dots, stripes and Happy Birthday sentiments.

Of course this collection screams party and birthdays, so my first project is a birthday card. I wanted to showcase different papers, after choosing three of the papers I then matted them on complimentary cardstock. To decorate I have added the party hat stamped and coloured images, ribbon and the Happy Birthday. A little bling adds some sparkle.

I am really happy with how the streamer paper looks on this layout, makes it look really festive. These beautiful flowers are from the Stitched Florals stamp set Z3698 and they match the flowers on the cake perfectly. I haven't done pen stictching on a layout for a long time and love how it looks.

Never feel you have to stick to the theme of any collection, there are always at least one or two of the papers that can be used with any project. I love these pink flowers backed with the pretty white dots on the pink paper.

Thanks for stopping by I hope my projects have inspired you to use this lovely collection. For more great ideas hop along to Lauren Moore's blog I am sure she will have something wonderful to share.

I was a little late placing my order and and unfortunatly it isn't arriving until today, but I was able to source 2 sheets of the bulk paper. I love this sunflower paper it is so bright and cheery, I have use it for  this simple yet pretty card.

.

I am still working on my old photos from many years a go, this gorgeous little munchkin is now in her late 30's and has two lovely daughters of her own. I knew these photos would look great with these papers and wasn't disappointed with the finished layout. The sunflowers and umbrella are from the Flower Market Cricut cartridge.

September Stamp of the Month "Here For The Memories"

Welcome to the Australasian CTMH stamp of the month blog hop, if you arrived here from Doreen's blog  you are in the right place. If you arrived here by chance I hope you like what you see and you can contnue the hop by clicking on the link at the end of this post.

This stamp set is all about preserving our special memories in our albums, the sentiments are so apt for our many varied themed layouts.

This layout is all about what life was like for my niece and her daughter during lockdown because of the COVID 19 pandemic. Life changed quite drastically for them, they live in Florida USA and when the schools, shops, churches and places of entertainment shut, they had to stay put in their condominium and get on with life as best they could. This meant home schooling, lots of arts and craft time and even indoor Hop Scotch played on the lounge room tiled floor.

This stamp set is not really one for making cards with but I thought I would give it a go and came up with this idea. It's a bit of fun and whimsy and I also used some of the older stamp sets. I used the stamp that looks like a polaroid photo and says "say cheese" I cut out the stamped image so it looks like a frame removing the inner bit. I then added the cute animals in the frames and used different stamp sets to create the sentiment.

I usually spend Mothers Day with my sister, her family, my mum and my brother. We have a picnic at the Peel Winery but this year was very different. It was just my sister, my brother and I visiting mum at home for afternoon tea. These lovely papers are from one of the new Mix In Paper Packs X9019

August Stamp of the Month Blog Hop "Floral Celebration"

Welcome to the Australasian CTMH Aughust stamp of the month blog hop, if you arrived here from Doreen's blog  you sre in the right place. If you arrived by chance I hope you like what I have created, you can continue the hop by clicking on the link at the end of this post.

The Floral Celebration stamp set has some lovely folk art looking flowers, lots of different leaves and sweet sentiments. I loved working with this set of stamps.

This card uses the sunflower looking stamp, nothing like sunflowers to brighten you special day. I am a real fan of kraft cardstock and really don't use it enough. The white embossed cardstock adds some dimension to this card.

My sister is one of those people who can turn their hands to anything, after taking cake decorating classes for one term at night school (many years ago), she created these special cakes. Even though this is a really simple layout I think the beautiful flowers lift it to something special.

I decided to use bright colours for this last card, my colouring in isn't always the best, so I stamped the flowers on patterned paper instead. To give my flowers a bit more demension I cut further into the edges of each of the petals and shapped them with a bone folder. I heat embossed my sentiment using white embossing powder. The white stands out so nicely on the blue cardstock.

I hope you have been inspired by my projects, now to see more great ideas hope along to Danielle at Scrappychicks I am sure she will have something wonderful to share.

Summer Vibes Blog Hop

Welcome to the Australasian CTMH blog hop, if you arrived here from  Shaunna's  Passionate About Pages you are in the right place, If you arrived here by chance just click on the link at the end of this post to continue the hop.

We are showcasing the Summer Vibes collection, even though it is winter here in Australia I am sure you will find lots of use for the collection.

This little basket can be used for holding treats for your customers at workshops or giving to friends and family. It looks small but it actually holds quite a bit. You only need a small amount of cardstock and patterned paper to make this cutie, you can find a video here with instructions on how to make it. This video is from Veronica Durfrey at theladybugstampingspot.blogspot.com.

My garden is definitely a work in progres with much still to be done and I like to take photos of what looks good at the time. My birdbath sits in front of my lounge room window and I love watching the antics of the birds that visit.

I was surprised to see fruit as well as blossoms on my mandarin tree at the smae time and this rather large grasshopper was having a great feast of my cana lily leaves.

Don't you think the bright red gingham paper is so cheery and I thought this stamp set works really well with it. Who doesn't like jumping in puddles.

Thank you for stopping by, now for some more great ideas hop along to Lauren Moore's CTMH Craftings I am sure she will have something fun and wonderful to share.

July Stamp of the Month Blog Hop

Welcome to the CTMH Australasian stamp of the month blog hop, if you arrived here from Doreen's blog you are in the right place. If you arrived here by chance, just click on the link at the end of this post to see some more great ideas.

The July stamp of the month is called "My Beautiful Friend" and aren't these images just beautiful and the sentiments are so special

For this card I stamped the bunch of flowers image and fussy cut just the flowers and not the girl. I find I use the dot embossing folder quite a lot and I love the thin cuts shapes. The butterfly stamp is a great addition to the look of the card.

I am so happy with this layout, these photos are of  my niece's children taken just before the start of the new school year focusing on their academic pursuits for the coming year. I have used papers from one of the  Mix In packs and these lovely floral corners and this apt sentiment.

There are a few members of my family that are all avid readers and I am sure any of them would be happy with this bookmark. I found colouring these beautiful flowers really easy and I really like the look of the combined soft colours. The cute owl charm is no longer available.
