Jack Australasian Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Jack Australasian Blog Hop, if you arrived here from Doreen Watkins' blog you are in the right place. If you arrived here by chance I hope you enjoy what you see and to continue the hop click on the link at the end of this post.

When I first saw this paper collection my immediate thought was I don't have any camping photos, but after looking through my photos I found these photos that work really well with the papers.
The kit contains:
1 – Jack paper packet (X7222B)
1 – Jack Complements (X7222C)
4 – cardstock sheets (1 Juniper, 2 Whisper, 1 White Daisy)
1 – black & white dots (Z3314)
1 – Whisper thick twine (Z3095)

My nephew married a lovely girl from England and they live in London, last year they came for a visit with they two beautiful daughters and Clara's mother. We spent a great afternoon together catching up and getting to know Mariella and Camilla. The kids had a fun time playing backyard cricket. I stamped the "Backyard Cricket" title then fussy cut the letters.

As Father's Day is fast approaching  I thought I would make a Father's Day card, I found a similar card on Pinterest and decided this would great way to use paper from this pack. I used one of the cards from the value pack and cut as the sample shows. I decided to cut both the front and back of the card off to make the apron look. The spatula and glove was hand drawn then fussy cut. There are many samples of cooking utensils that can be found on the internet and are easy to copy. I adhered the spatula and glove with thin foam tape. I stitched around the paper edges with a black journaling pen. To finish off the card I used ribbon and brads from my stash.

August stamp of the Month "School Years"

Hello and welcome to the August Stamp of the Month blog Hop, if you arrived here from  Doreen's blog you are in the right place. If you arrived here by chance I hope you see something you like. To continue the hop click on the link at the end of this post.

The  august stamp of the month "School Years" S1708 is perfect for all you school photos, or a card for a teacher. Don't you just love the trio of cute hearts.

These layouts are of my nieces two children, and what great kids they are. I love spending time with them and creating memorable layouts with the photos I take of them. Although these photos are actually the yearly photos taken at school.

For this first layout I used bright and fun colours and quite a simple design. I really like the stamp that allows you to add the relevant details about the students. I added the wood frame stamp on top of a piece of black cardstock to create a blackboard.  The pencils were coloured using the Shin Han Markers.

The second layout uses more subtle colours and is also a rather simple design even still I really like these different but great designs. I fussy cut around the word balloon and then stamped the sentiment inside it. The You're a Star stamp is from an old stamp set and is no longer available.

I hope you are getting lots of great ideas for this stamp set. To continue the hop click here to go to Nell Ward's blog, she will have something special to share. Please take a moment and leave a comment, they are always very appreciated.
