May Stamp of the Month "Classic Summer Bash"

Welcome to the May stamp of the Month Blog Hop, if you arrived here from Doreen's blog you are in the right place. If you arrived here by chance nice to see you and I hope you find some inspiration.

The Classic Summer Bash stamp set has some great images and sentiments and will be terrific for summer layouts, party invitations and lots more.

This is the first time I have taken photos specifically to suit the stamp of the month. Jet and Atley spent a few days with me in the recent school holidays and I thought what a great opportunity to make home made lemonade. Atley was a trooper and helped me squeeze the lemons. We had the lemonade with our lunch. I stamped the Mason jars on vellum with Versamark ink and then heat embossed with clear embossing powder. After fussing cut them I then coloured the jars with lagoon ink and a sponge.

Here are a couple of close ups of the title and the mason jars. I stamped and cut the lemon and leaves image twice once in yellow ink and then again with green ink. I colored the lemon with the yellow Shinn Han marker, I used the 3D foam tape to raise the lemon image.

Receiving a handmade card is so special, and I love sending them to friends and family. I planned this card as a masculine card but it could easily be given to female family or friends.

Thank you for stopping by, to see more great ideas click here to go to Nell's blog. I am sure she will have something great to share. Please take a moment and leave a comment, they are very much appreciated.

  1. You are such a fun great auntie!! I love your page and the story behind it. Good to see the corner rounder in use - it really does change the look of a layout. And as for your card... I'm heading to the craft room to copy that one today!!

  2. Gorgeous Doris, The whole story of the lemonade with the boys helping is so sweet. Great page, layout and what a great idea to put shells into the jar... suddenly so many more opportunities become available for putting things inside the jar... my mind is off! Thanks <3
